Artist David Lockett, who has given one of his paintings to the church, was interviewed in the service, and explained that, at a time of bereavement, seeing yellow irises in a marshy area resonated for him the Christian hope of new life rising and flourishing. The title is Et Exspecto Resurrectionem Mortuorum, 2001 (And I look for the resurrection of the dead).

Rev Dr David Wenham presents gifts to Roger Long, the Project Manager, as a small token of the church's thanks for his work in seeing the rebuilding through.  They included a vine, which has important symbolism in the Bible.
